Kyrle's disease
Histologic Features
- An epidermal depression filled with a parakeratotic horn
- A column of dyskeratotic cells, basophilic debris and degenerative collagen through the epidermis
- A granulomatous reaction with giant cells and neutrophils at the point of perforations in the dermis
- Perforations occurring away from the hair follicles
- Epidermal hyperplasia
- A superficial perivascular lymphohistiocytic infiltrate
- No elastic fibers demonstrated at the perforation site by special stain
