Histologic Features
- An inflammatory process involving mostly the arterioles and medium-sized arteries with
- Involved vessels demonstrating thickened intima, sometimes occluding the lumina
- Necrotic arterial wall with extensive fibrin deposition
- A sparse inflammatory infiltrate consisting of a mixture of neutrophils, eosinophils, lymphocytes, and histiocytes
- Nuclear dust in the vicinity of the vessels
